Pre-reading Thoughts:

The second book really set a certain part for me. It was a lot better, there was definitely some room for improvement. I was happy to see more characters and read from different perspectives, but at the same time it also allowed my distaste for certain characters to grow. Despite that, I am interested in seeing how this series ends.

Writing Thoughts:

The writing in this series has stayed pretty consistent. It continuously improves, but certain details stayed the same. 

Plot Thoughts:

I was kind of disappointed in this book. I ended up being confused about the timeline and certain events. The action scenes also ended up being a little more confusing. The plot had slowed down a lot and at the same time only some events added to the overall storyline.

Character Thoughts:

I liked how we got to see a different side to Ciara. She was still a bad character, but I was happy to see something else. Evelyn felt like she was a side character in the other character's story.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, this wasn't a bad conclusion. I ended up not really falling in love with this series. I definitely think that this series has potential, but the world needed to be fleshed out a whole lot more. It felt like there were elements missing that could definitely be filtered if the series ended up being longer.
