Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

Please note that in no way has receiving this book from the author impacted my opinions of the book. All opinions are my own. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Okay. Tell me you don't like that synopsis? It sounds incredible! I love it. I'm so ready to get into this book. I'm so ready for more time-traveling and action filled moments.

Writing thoughts:

My first thought on the writing is this , "Oh my gosh.. YES!" I loved the writing of this book. It was so beautiful and descriptive that I could see everything vividly. However it's so constant that the reading often becomes very heavy. Don't get me wrong, I love it but I do believe there are some moments where it is necessary and others where its not.

Plot Thoughts:

I had a big problem here. It just took way too long for things to get started. Yes perhaps it was good but with the heavy reading and not much happening factor, I tended to skim read the book more than actually read which I strongly disliked. The plot was really good. I loved it for the most part but the events were just too stretched out.

When things did start to happen I was totally into though. It almost seemed like novel was actually starting. I loved everything from that moment onwards.

Character Thoughts:

Zac was a really interesting character. He was classified as both incredibly intelligent and creative. He had a way with the sciences and the arts. He almost seemed a little too perfect. But he was still a great character. He was full of emotions which seemed to control him entirely. They lead him on several both amazing and dangerous journeys.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, the book wasn't too bad.  I know I pretty much bashed what I didn't like about the novel but I did like it in the end. It probably won't be on my best books of 2016 list but it was a good read. I enjoyed a lot of it and was glad I got the opportunity to read the book. And if I am perfectly honest, if I read it again at a later stage, I would probably end up liking it way more than I do right now.

This is also probably one of my shortest reviews but I prefer it the way it is right now. I have nothing else to say other than saying everything in a different way.

Yours in Reading,

Melleny
